In the murky underworld of crime, Tony Gazotti, a seasoned racketeer, finds an unlikely savior in Jackson Durant, a lawyer with an adrenaline addiction for defending the guilty. Durant's audacious tactics earn Gazotti's unshakeable gratitude but cost him his reputable standing within his law firm and the love of his life, Sue. As Durant's world spirals, Sue reenters his life with a plea for help after her new beau, Tom Siddall, is ensnared in an intricate murder scheme.
