Plot

In the chilling aftermath of teenager Allen Clark's suicide, his grieving family leaves the hustle of Chicago behind, seeking solace in the tranquil island town of Cradle Bay. Here, siblings Steve and Lindsay Clark attempt to navigate their new lives. The local high-school, a microcosm of societal tribes, becomes a new battleground for Steve. It's within these claustrophobic corridors that Steve finds solace in the friendship of outcasts - the enigmatic Gavin Strick and the elusive Rachel Wagner. In the midst of punks and nerds, Steve's curiosity is piqued by the eerily perfect "Blue Ribbons"—a clique of model students with identical jackets, congregating ominously at the Yogurt Shoppe. Gavin, a harbinger of conspiracy theories, confides in Steve a disturbing hypothesis: a malevolent force is transforming these students, turning them into the Blue Ribbons. His claims are chilling, hinting at covered-up murders and the questionable behavior of the local law enforcement. Skeptical of Gavin's theories, Steve remains dismissive until his friend succumbs to the treatment of the enigmatic Dr. Edgar Caldicott, emerging as a changed person and a new recruit of the Blue Ribbons. This alarming transformation prompts Steve and Rachel to delve into the murky depths of Cradle Bay's secrets, embarking on a perilous journey to unravel the sinister truth behind the "perfect" behavior. As they traverse this dangerous path, they discover that the calm facade of their new town conceals a darkness that could consume them all.
