In the heart of Paris, Alice Ovitz, a dedicated pharmacist and self-confessed Woody Allen fanatic, finds solace in her obsession since her teenage years. Her world revolves around his films, and she even converses with his poster in her room, finding wisdom in his cinematic dialogues. Alice's love for Woody Allen is as intense as her love for jazz, a passion she shares with Pierre, a man she meets in a night-club. Convinced he is her prince charming, her hopes shatter when Pierre falls for her sister Hélène, leading to a whirlwind romance and eventual marriage.
