Outcast (2014)

In the farthest reaches of the Baghdad caliphate, two disillusioned knights, Jacob and Gallain, weary from the ceaseless torrents of war, make a daring escape to the unknown east, eventually reaching the exotic shores of China. Here, a dying king plans to entrust his power, embodied by the royal seal, not to his eldest son, the ruthless warrior prince Shing, but to his younger, wiser son Zhao, hoping to usher in an era of tranquility. In a bloody coup, Shing slays his father, forcing Zhao and his sister Lian to flee for their lives. Pursued relentlessly by Shing's formidable black guard, their only hope lies in the distant mountains, where they seek the protection of generals still loyal to their father's vision. On their perilous journey, they stumble upon Jacob, once a crusader, now a shell of his former self, numbing his war-torn past with opium. Yet, beneath his broken exterior lies the heart of a military genius, ready to be reignited. He becomes their guardian, leading them to the impregnable fortress of his old comrade, Gallain. Now living under the alias of The White Ghost, Gallain has transformed from knight to mythic outlaw, ruling his band of brigands with an iron fist and a noble heart.
