Out of Time (2003)

In the sun-drenched tranquility of Banyan Key, Florida, a place where retirees find their slice of paradise, Matt Whitlock, the town's police chief, finds himself engulfed in a turbulent storm of deceit and desperation. Whitlock, a man who soothes the sting of his recent separation from his detective wife, Alex, with drink and duty, is ensnared in a forbidden affair with Ann Merai Harrison, a local woman trapped in a toxic marriage with her abusive husband, Chris. As the sultry Florida sun dips below the horizon, the shadows deepen around Whitlock when Ann Merai reveals a terminal cancer diagnosis.
