Beneath the opulent grandeur of Verdi's Macbeth, a young opera singer, Betty, finds herself thrust into the limelight as destiny hands her a leading role. The diva of the original production suffers a mysterious accident, clearing the stage for Betty's debut. However, the dazzling spotlights obscure a sinister shadow. A psychopath, whose fixation on Betty traces back to her innocent childhood dreams, lurks in the wings, waiting for his cue.
