Plot

As the first blush of Labor Day weekend dawns, we find Daniel Corban, a high-ranking automobile executive, enveloped in the throes of his honeymoon at a luxurious, secluded lakeside abode in the tranquil summer haven of Skuylkill. His newly-wed bliss, however, rapidly unravels into frustration. His bride, Elizabeth, has inexplicably vanished for three days, and Skuylkill's laid-back police inspector, Murray Levine, appears to be making little headway in locating her, despite Daniel's fervent pleas. Levine, mirroring the town's unhurried rhythm, dismisses the urgency of the case, considering Elizabeth left of her own accord following a marital spat, but promises to keep an eye out for her and her missing automobile. The mystery deepens when a woman, professing to be Elizabeth, materializes in what appears to be Elizabeth's car. Despite Daniel's vehement denials, no one, including Levine, doubts her identity. Every Skuylkill local, including the town's priest, Father Kelleher, who claims to have seen Elizabeth, affirms the woman's claim. Adding to Daniel's mounting bewilderment is the woman's tantalizing hints, dropped during their private encounters, suggesting she indeed may not be Elizabeth and hinting at some ominous scheme involving him. Is she plotting his murder? Is her aim to shatter his sanity? Or is there a more complex stratagem at play, ensnaring him in its clutches? As the plot of 'One of My Wives Is Missing' unravels, the questions multiply, drawing viewers into its heart-pounding enigma.
