One December Night (2021)

In the nostalgic echoes of the music world, we find Steve Bedford and Mike Sullivan, formerly the pulsating heart of one of the globe's most famed musical duos, Bedford and Sullivan. Their bond, forged in childhood camaraderie, splintered a decade ago following an onstage incident - the fiery culmination of a fragile professional relationship. Since then, silence has filled the void between them, with subsequent events deepening the rift. While Steve has carved out a modest solo career, riding on the lingering affection for their duo, Mike has chosen seclusion, haunted by the issues leading to their public fallout. However, the quiet is about to be shattered as Mike consents to a televised Christmas reunion show, "Bedford and Sullivan at Big Red," set in the Sullivan family's quaint Pineville home. Enter Dianne Carter, a talent manager with vested interest in the show, but no official ties to Bedford or Sullivan. The show's producer, Troy, tasks her with the tricky job of handling Mike, who despite agreeing to the show, remains elusive. Dianne turns to Quinn Allan, one of her agents, who carries a secret: she is Mike Sullivan's estranged daughter. Reluctantly, Quinn agrees to undertake this assignment, setting in motion an intricate dance of negotiations and renegotiations, especially around the duo's iconic hit, "One December Night." This song, deeply personal to Mike, is intertwined with painful memories. In Pineville, Quinn reconnects with her childhood friend, Jason Bedford. Now representing his father Steve, Jason is seen by Quinn as an instigator of the discord between their fathers. As Quinn and Jason rekindle their bond, they discover budding feelings for each other. However, their potential romantic future is intertwined with the success of the show and reconciliation of their fathers. Will the duo's biggest hit, "One December Night," prove to be a turning point for all involved, or will it bring back hurtful memories and widen the existing chasm?
