Plot

Jim Wilson, a hardened urban detective, walks a thin line between law and lawlessness. Known for his aggressive tactics and solitary nature, he frequently resorts to violence to solve his cases, drawing the ire of his partners and his superior, Captain Brawley. When Wilson's relentless pursuit of two cop killers leads to brutalizing another suspect, Brawley intervenes, sending him to the frigid plains of Westham β€” a place humorously referred to as "Siberia." In this icy outpost, Wilson is tasked with solving the murder of a young girl, a case that brings him face-to-face with the victim's vengeful father, Walter Brent. Together, they navigate the snowy wilderness, their journey culminating in a car accident that leads them to a secluded dwelling. This remote abode is the home of the enigmatic Mary Malden, a woman of striking independence and allure, whose blindness does not dim her spirit. However, the intrigue deepens as it becomes apparent that her mentally troubled brother is the prime suspect in the murder case. As Wilson and Brent seek shelter in Mary's home, an unexpected bond begins to form between Wilson and Mary. In this harsh frontier, Wilson finds himself on a path of redemption and humanization, navigating the complexities of his own character, the ever-present specter of violence, and the dark secrets that Mary's isolated world harbors. "On Dangerous Ground" is a chilling tale of crime, punishment, and unexpected transformation set against the backdrop of a relentless winter landscape.
