Nightmare City (1980)

In the heart of an unnamed European metropolis, television news reporter Dean Miller finds himself in the midst of an apocalyptic nightmare. He stands on the tarmac, waiting to interview a renowned scientist, but instead watches in horror as an unmarked military aircraft descends in an unexpected emergency landing. The plane's doors groan open, unleashing a terrifying mob of radioactive zombies, their bloodlust ignited by an unforeseen nuclear catastrophe. As the city is thrown into chaos, these undead monstrosities, armed and deadly, rampage through the military personnel, their knives and bullets showing no mercy. Dean, caught in the eye of this nightmarish storm, attempts to alert the city, only to be silenced by the iron hand of General Murchison of Civil Defense, who refuses to acknowledge the spreading doom. In a desperate race against time, Dean embarks on a perilous mission to locate his wife, a doctor, amidst the urban pandemonium. Together, they must navigate the labyrinthine city streets teeming with the relentless horde of atomic zombies, their lives hanging by a thread. Meanwhile, the city's military leaders wage a futile war of attrition, their efforts dissolving under the unyielding march of the undead. The city pulses with terror, its inhabitants trapped in a gruesome ballet between life and death, as the shadow of Nightmare City looms ominously. Will Dean and his wife escape the clutches of this horrific revelation or will they too succumb to the chilling embrace of the undead?
