In the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, Tommy, a hardened criminal, breathes the air of freedom after seven long years behind bars. His ex-partner and reformed convict, Mick, eagerly awaits to welcome him back into the world. Now pulling a humble living as a janitor in a porn shop, Mick resides in the grubby and morally bankrupt Golden Eagle hotel.
Mick's dreams stretch far beyond the grimy walls of the Golden Eagle. He's squirreled away $2,500 and secured a pair of tickets to Las Vegas. His vision is clear - a clean slate at a casino job and a fresh start alongside his old comrade.
The Golden Eagle, however, is a magnet for the broken and the lost. It's a sordid rendezvous point for prostitutes and their clients, home to the destitute and the decadent. Among these souls are Amber and Sally, streetwalkers under the iron fist of the formidable pimp, Rodan, who is currently ensnaring naive fifteen-year-old runaway, Loriann, with promises of stardom.
On Mick's last night before leaving for Las Vegas, Tommy, in a fit of anger and humiliation, murders Amber. When Mick stumbles upon the horrifying scene, he finds his dreams hanging by a thread. The question lingers - will Tommy's actions shatter Mick's hope for a new beginning?
