When the curtain of life falls on his father, Ben Rutherford, an archaeology scholar, becomes the unexpected heir to a chilling piece of 18th-century craftsmanship known as "Le Vaudo Mort". Amid the intoxicating atmosphere of a college soirée, Ben unveils the intricate device to his inner circle, oblivious to its shadowy history and potential supernatural aspects. The revelry soon turns to mystery when Ben finds his dormitory plundered and the device missing. A macabre sequence begins as his friends start to meet their ends in bizarre and harrowing incidents.
