The bustling city of Mumbai harbours Jay Kapoor, a young man mourning the loss of his parents in a tragic car accident. He finds solace in the company of Jiya and her family, with whom he shares a roof and an unspoken bond of love. Jiya, however, desires Jay to flourish as a writer before pledging their lives together in matrimony. When Jay's obsession with video games consumes him, Jiya presents him with a daunting ultimatum — secure a job within two months or watch her depart for Australia.
Meeting the challenge, Jay seizes a lucrative writing assignment worth Rs.4 Lakhs. As his writing blossoms, so does their relationship, and Jiya, impressed by his determination, agrees to marry him. However, their joy is abruptly eclipsed on the day of their engagement. A gruelling twist of fate presents itself in the form of Crime Branch Inspector Gupte, who arrests Jay for his alleged involvement in the audacious theft of an illustrious diamond known as 'Constellation'. As Jiya's world crumbles around her, the tale of Nakshatra takes an unexpected and thrilling twist, casting a shadow over their once certain future.
