Mute (2018)

Leo Beiler has only been sticking around the city for the sake of his girlfriend Naadirah. His mother is strictly Amish, and Naadirah is a cocktail waitress — and that leaves plenty of tension between the family. Leo also happens to be mute. But he finds himself thrust into the middle of the futuristic underworld when Naadirah turns up missing. The one connection he seems to find to his girlfriend's disappearance is a pair of surgeons from America, but he can't tell if they're potential allies or if they're behind this whole chain of events in the first place.

Mute is a mystery movie featuring Alexander Skarsgård and directed by Duncan Jones.
