Plot

In the heart of Rajasthan, we find Mimi, a vivacious local dancer with dreams of stardom that twinkle brighter than the stars in the desert sky. Her path crosses with an American couple, John and Summer, whose desperate search for a surrogate mother has led them across oceans. Aided by their charismatic tour driver, Bhanu, they see in Mimi the end to their quest. The offer of 20 Lakh tempts Mimi, as she perceives it as a golden ticket towards realizing her acting ambitions. Bhanu, in his inimitable style, bridges the cultural divide, explaining the intricacies of surrogacy to Mimi, and facilitating a meeting between her and the couple. Lured by the promise of her dreams, Mimi embarks on this unconventional journey, keeping it hidden under wraps in her friend Shama's house, while assuring her parents of being away for a film shoot. However, the narrative takes a turbulent turn when the doctor informs John and Summer of complications with the baby. In a whirlwind of fear and uncertainty, they decide to abandon the surrogacy plan, leaving Mimi to face the storm alone. As her pregnancy is discovered by her family, Mimi, in a desperate bid to escape, names Bhanu as the father, causing a ripple of chaos in his life. Fast forward four years, Mimi's child, lovingly named Raj, is the apple of everyone's eye. But just as life seems to return to normal, John and Summer reappear, threatening to upend everything once again. This compelling drama paints a vivid picture of societal norms, the challenges of surrogacy, and the lengths to which one would go for their dreams.
