Memories in March (2011) is a poignant journey of discovery and acceptance that centers around Arati Mishra, a Delhi-based woman who is grappling with the tragic death of her son, Siddhartha, in a car accident in Kolkata. Her world, already fractured by a divorce, shatters further as she travels to Kolkata to perform her son's last rites. Upon arrival, she's received by Sahana Choudhury, Siddhartha's quietly supportive colleague who guides her through the fog of grief. Arati’s stay in her son's memory-laden office-apartment unfolds over three days, where every corner whispers untold stories of her son's life. As she steps into her son's world, she is introduced to his colleagues, signs an array of documents, and is confronted by the harsh reality of his death— Siddhartha’s reckless indulgence in alcohol, his insistence on driving that fatal night, and the shocking revelation of his clandestine life.
