Plot

In the heartland of Tennessee, 1986, a chilling incident leaves a deep-seated fear of serpents in Lester Daniels, when his father falls victim to a bizarre snake-involved ceremony. Two decades later, the Daniels brothers, Lester and Duff, lead contrasting lives. Duff curates a fascinating collection of snakes, while Lester battles his inherited ophidiophobia. One fateful day, Duff seeks out the enigmatic Kitawa Indian, Screaming Hawk, in pursuit of rare serpents. His attention is captured by a peculiar snake, sealed within a jar. Despite his eager offer to purchase, Screaming Hawk vehemently denies the sale, revealing the creature to be the deadly Unteka. The Unteka, he explains, comes with three inviolable rules: it must remain confined to the jar, it should never consume living beings, and one must never fear its heart. Driven by temptation, Duff commits the unthinkable and steals the Unteka, unintentionally setting in motion a series of horrifying events. The snake escapes its jar, feasting first on Duff’s pet cat, then growing monstrously large by preying on local wildlife and residents. The once peaceful Tennessee town now lives in the shadow of a serpentine terror. Stepping up to the plate, Lester, accompanied by his ex-flame Erin and the knowledgeable Screaming Hawk, embarks on a desperate mission to halt the Unteka's reign of terror and protect their community. The Mega Snake's insatiable appetite grows, but so does the courage of those who dare to oppose it.
