Max (2015)

As a military dog, Max has been trained to be able to handle a tremendous amount of pressure — but the death of his handler Kyle leaves him inconsolable and overcome by stress. Max is difficult for anyone but his old owner to handle, and so there are plans to have Max put down. Kyle's brother Justin reluctantly takes Max in. Taking on a new responsibility in the middle of a grieving process is difficult, and it's doubly so given the issues that Max has. But over time the two begin to rely on each other, and their bond helps them find healing.

Max is an adventure movie featuring Thomas Haden Church and directed by Boaz Yakin.
