Plot

In the heart of California, Joel Wallace, a prosperous widower engrossed in his thriving business, resides in a grand mansion. His nine-year-old daughter, Felice, feeling the void of a maternal figure, pens a letter to a popular TV Christmas show, longing for a 'new mammy'. Joel's attempts to introduce his girlfriend as a holiday nanny fall flat, leading him to reluctantly agree to a proposition from Mary Maloney, a sharp and determined reporter, to film Felice's Christmas wish in their home. As the preparations take an unexpected turn, Joel finds himself hiring Les Turner, an ex-variety artist turned nurturing nanny with a magical touch that appeals to everyone. Les, the 'governor', steps in, transforming their lives in ways they never anticipated. Meanwhile, the hard-bitten Mary, initially focused solely on her story, finds herself caught in the warmth of the family. With Les's assistance, she begins to understand the true spirit of Christmas, discovering that even in the most unlikely situations, wishes can indeed come true. Mary Christmas is a heartwarming tale that explores the power of hope, the magic of Christmas, and the extraordinary ways in which our lives can intertwine, creating bonds stronger than we ever imagined. It serves as a beautiful reminder that miracles do happen, especially during the holiday season, when hearts are open, and the spirit of giving is in the air.
