In the bustling heart of New York City, the lives of the Vidales family spin in an intricate dance of responsibilities and ambitions. Leo Vidales, a successful businessman and somewhat immature family man, finds his world revolving around Underlandish, his booming digital games website. His wife, Dr. Ellen Vidales, dedicates herself to saving lives in the emergency room of a city hospital. Their bright and astute daughter, Jackie, is largely raised by Gloria, their Filipino nanny. Gloria, bearing the weight of separation from her two sons in the Philippines, pours her affection into Jackie, forming a bond deeper than that with her biological mother, Ellen.
