Plot

Under the relentless sun of the Vietnam War, an American soldier named Sonny Stein finds an unlikely savior in the form of a Mako shark, rescuing him from the inescapable clutches of the enemy. This event sparks an enduring reverence within Stein for these magnificent predators of the deep. Post-war, Stein ekes out a living as a marine salvager amidst the exotic allure of the Philippine Islands, an existence that leads him to a mystical encounter with a Filipino shaman. Presented with an enigmatic medallion by the shaman, Stein discovers he has unknowingly stepped into a world where the line between man and beast blurs. He develops a telepathic bond with the Mako sharks, a connection so profound that it gradually distances him from the realm of human existence. Returning to the sun-drenched shores of Florida, Stein becomes the self-appointed guardian of his aquatic brethren, vowing to shield them from harm. Drawn like moths to a flame, a dubious scientist with a thirst for knowledge and a strip club owner with a taste for the extraordinary, seek to exploit Stein's unique abilities for their own nefarious ends. Provoked and enraged, Stein employs his uncanny connection to the Makos to wage a war against those who dare to threaten his underwater kin. As the tension escalates, the Florida coast becomes a battleground where man, beast, and revenge intertwine in a deadly dance that threatens to consume them all.
