Plot

In the heartland of Indiana, a fiery spirit named Lauryn harbors a dream as rhythmic as her heart - to become a dancer. With her sights set on a prestigious Chicago dance school, she leaps into the chance of a lifetime, only to stumble at her first audition. Met with cold rejection, she's advised to bring something different to the table for the next round, weeks away. However, fate intervenes with a pinch of mischief. Lauryn's car gets towed, stranding her in the bustling city, far from the comfort of her disapproving brother in Indiana. Desperation and determination intertwine, leading her to a job at a burlesque club. Here, she encounters a dance form as vibrant and unpredictable as the city itself, a dance that’s more than just twirls and pirouettes. As Lauryn embarks on this unexpected journey, the beat of burlesque challenges her, provoking both internal turmoil and profound self-discovery. Struggling between the ballet she's always known and the seductive pull of this new dance, Lauryn finds herself caught in a whirlwind of dreams and reality. "Make It Happen" is an electrifying tale of passion, resilience, and the transformative power of dance, where one young woman learns that sometimes, the path to your dreams leads you to unexpected destinations.
