Plot
As the world grapples with the monstrous tragedy of September 11, 2001, the Kaul family experiences their personal cataclysm. Their joy over the impending arrival of their US-based daughter's baby is swallowed by the devastating news of her and her husband's demise in the Twin Tower attacks. The echoes of this disaster reverberate through their lives, leaving them and their other daughter, Anupama, shrouded in grief.
Years pass, and the family, still nursing their wounds, arranges Anupama's marriage with Arpit Oberoi, the compassionate owner of an advertising agency. The arrangement blossoms into mutual affection, and the prospect of a new beginning looms on their horizon. However, fate has a different script in mind, introducing an enigmatic stranger into Anupama's life.
During a train journey, she encounters Aman, a plainclothes officer embedded in the labyrinth of an anti-terrorist organization. Anupama finds herself irresistibly drawn to him, her feelings for Arpit fading into the background. Her heart chooses Aman over her betrothed, and she distances from her family, cocooned in her newfound love.
When the Kaul family learns about Aman, they insist on meeting him, only to be faced with the chilling revelation that he doesn't exist. Anupama stands as the lone advocate for Aman's existence, while the world around her believes him to be a figment of her imagination, a phantom birthed from the trauma of her past.
