When the matriarch Shirley is hit with a disheartening health diagnosis, she yearns for the comfort of her three adult children. But her offspring, Tammy, Kimberly, and Byron, are ensnared in their own chaotic lives. Tammy is battling a tumultuous marriage and rebellious children, while Kimberly is consumed by rage, lashing out at her spouse. Byron, fresh from a two-year stint in prison, faces the temptation to revert to illicit activities.
