300: Rise of an Empire (2014)

The heroic stand of 300 Spartans and their leader King Leonidas against the Persian Empire would create a legend, but it would do little to slow the march of King Xerxes on the Greek city-states. The shining city of Athens is the first in his path, but the admiral Themistocles stands in his way. Even with the might of Athens' naval forces, he stands little chance against the Persians. Themistocles agrees to an alliance with neighboring Sparta, who can offer ground troops and infantry far more skilled than those in Athens. But distrust between the two men could sabotage everything.
