In the frost-frozen heart of winter, 1988, Russ Richards, a charismatic weatherman, finds himself the toast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. With his face gracing the screens of WTPA Channel 6 News, his popularity heralds a life of perks and privileges. However, the unseasonably warm winter, devoid of its usual white blanket, sends his snowmobile dealership spiraling into financial ruin. Desperate and penniless, Russ finds himself drawn into the shadowy underworld by his dubious friend Gig, a strip club owner with a penchant for murky dealings. With the law of desperation pushing at their backs, Russ and Gig, along with Crystal Latroy - the dazzling but devious Pennsylvania Lucky Six Lottery girl and Russ' on-off lover - hatch a plan to cheat the lottery system. Their eyes are set on the glittering prize of $6.4 million, a jackpot that could solve all their problems. With Crystal's inside access at WTPA and a couple of unwitting accomplices, their plan seems foolproof. But the path of crime is laden with unexpected twists. The scheme begins to unravel, ensnared in a web of deceit, greed, and escalating danger. Unforeseen complications arise as those who sniff out their ploy demand a piece of the pie, leaving Russ in an even deeper hole than before. As the stakes rise, so do tensions within the trio, each grappling with their own measure of risk and reward.
