In the heart of the Marks family, a close-knit ensemble of four women, thrives a unique blend of idealism and insecurity. Jane, the affluent matriarch, fuels this paradox as she embarks on a risky cosmetic surgery journey to reshape her figure, casting a shadow of vanity and vulnerability over her three disparate daughters. Michelle, the eldest, once a homecoming queen, now grapples with the struggles of motherhood and an indifferent husband. On the cusp of her acting career, Elizabeth, the middle daughter, battles her own timidity and self-doubt, seeking solace in the company of stray dogs.
