Plot

Anna, a spirited young woman working at a Los Angeles public radio station, is caught in a whirlpool of emotions when she stumbles upon love letters that unravel her mother's secret 15-year liaison with a married man. She's simultaneously coping with her father's alcoholism and his incessant demands, a daunting task that shadows her life with melancholy. The discovery of the letters, however, ignites a spark in her. She begins to romanticize the idea of an affair, viewing it as an escape from her mundane existence. This romantic notion finds a target in Oliver, a charming and talented photographer, who, despite being happily married and a doting father, is drawn towards Anna. Their mutual attraction is magnetic and immediate, culminating into a passionate affair. Despite Oliver's upfront declaration of his unwillingness to abandon his family, Anna plunges into the affair, savoring the intimacy and excitement. However, as her feelings deepen, she yearns for permanence, breaching his privacy and creating a ripple effect of unfortunate consequences. In the end, Anna comes face-to-face with her mother's erstwhile lover, a revelation that compels her to reassess her choices. In a bid to embrace a new beginning, she seizes a job opportunity at a radio station in San Francisco, hoping to leave her past behind and embark on a fresh journey.
