Love in Design (2018)

Hannah McElroy, celebrated host of the L.A. based home renovation show, Love in Design, is renowned for her boundary-defying modern design style. She masterfully transforms a single home per episode, garnering strong ratings over four years. However, the network honcho, Wally, suggests a new format to arrest a slight decline in ratings. His plan? An extensive renovation spanning several episodes, starting with the historic Lewisburg Manor in Hannah's quaint New England hometown, Lewisburg. With the manor's owner, Margot, aiming to convert it into a bed and breakfast, Hannah has just five weeks to complete this daunting renovation in time for the manor's 150th anniversary. This project is a departure from Hannah's usual work, but she must acquiesce to maintain her standing with Wally and the network. To ensure the renovation adheres to the building code, the town's historic preservation society hires Jeff Winslow, an architect and native Lewisburghian who's recently returned home. Jeff's strict adherence to the code and resistance to change may clash with Hannah's innovative approach. Little do they know, they'll be working together on this project, a potentially explosive situation given their past romantic involvement which ended when Hannah moved to L.A. Wally, sensing the sparks between them, decides to bring Jeff on screen, hoping to capitalize on their palpable chemistry. As Hannah and Jeff navigate their differing design styles and unresolved feelings, they must confront the question: Can they rekindle their love while still remaining true to their individual beliefs and passions? The answer could mean bending their firmly held perceptions of life and design.
