In the grayscale milieu of Edmonton, Love & Human Remains chronicles a poignant journey of a cluster of twenty-somethings navigating through the labyrinth of love and life in the 90s. Amid this somber urban sprawl, we find David, a disillusioned gay waiter who has relinquished his dreams of acting, sharing his life with Candy, a literary critic and his former flame. Their existences are delicately intertwined with a colorful ensemble cast of David's companions - a humble busboy, a psychic donned in dominatrix attire, and a civil-servant bearing a disdain for women, and Candy's romantic interests - a charismatic male bartender and a lesbian educator. As these characters grapple with their personal quests for meaning and connection, their lives are overshadowed by the lurking terror of a serial killer haunting the concrete jungle they inhabit. Love & Human Remains is a darkly humorous exploration of the human condition, where love, friendship, and fear collide in the unlikeliest of ways.
