Love at Sunset Terrace (2020)

Sophie Carter, co-owner of the successful Los Angeles-based firm, C and L Mod, finds herself disillusioned as her interior design work, filled with high-profile and demanding clients, strays from the creative outlet she once envisioned. Under the weight of her burning out and Spencer, her business partner's advice, Sophie steps away from looming deadlines to take a two-week hiatus in Summerside, a quaint seaside town that serves as the backdrop of a cherished painting by her late, creatively gifted Nana. Inspired by Nana's connection to Summerside and the painting that fuels her daily inspiration, Sophie vows to disconnect from her electronic devices and work. She hopes to rediscover the magic that once sparked her Nana's creativity. Through Airbnb, she finds herself at Sunset Terrace, a long-standing family establishment owned and run by Michael. Michael's life took a downturn when his wife, Natalie, passed away. He secluded himself, focusing solely on raising his preteen daughter, Kailey, and leaving Sunset Terrace—once the vibrant heart of Summerside—neglected and forgotten. As Sophie connects with Michael and Kailey, she is inspired to restore Sunset Terrace to its former glory, driven by her longing for creativity and desire to help Michael and Kailey. Guided in part by Christine, Michael's neighbour and childhood friend who worries about Michael's future, Sophie endeavors to breathe life back into Sunset Terrace. As Sophie and Michael's connection deepens, they find themselves on the edge of a blooming romance, stirred by Kailey's hope to see her father in love again. However, the potential of new love poses a question for both: can Michael open his heart to someone other than Natalie and Kailey, and can Sophie trade the professional success she's worked so hard for a slower, small-town life?
