Plot

Under the warmth of tradition, a motley crew of friends, led by Max, a prosperous restaurant owner, and Véro, his ecologically conscious wife, gather annually at their stunning seaside retreat. Their intention? To celebrate Antoine's birthday, punctuating the beginning of a much-anticipated vacation. This year, however, the city lights of Paris dim with tragedy as their comrade, Ludo, succumbs to a severe accident, sparking a tumultuous whirl of emotional turbulence before their departure. Choosing to proceed with their annual beach escape despite the heartrending incident, their friendships, convictions, and the weight of guilt are thrown into a tempest of challenge and introspection. This vacation, once a sanctuary of laughter and camaraderie, morphs into a mirror reflecting the little white lies carefully woven into the fabric of their relationship. As the holiday progresses, the protagonists are compelled to confront the uncomfortable truths lurking beneath their merry façade. The veils of pretense, once easily donned, begin to fray under the strain of authenticity. As the sun sets on their time together, they are eventually cornered by the inevitable – the truth, in all its raw and unfiltered glory. Little White Lies (2010) is a poignant exploration of friendship and authenticity, where the line between truth and deception is as unpredictable as the tide.
