Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

An old man is convinced he is Santa Claus. After an encounter, the man is arrested and jailed. A young lawyer hears about the man's case, he decides to take it on and prove the man actually is Santa. To get the man's charges dropped, he has to convince the court and others that the man who thinks he's Santa is the real thing.
