In the shadowy epoch of the First World War in France, a peaceful existence is shattered for Camille, a woman nestled in the North-East of the country, as she is unsettled by a troubling letter from her soldier husband. His words echo the battlefront's chaos, revealing his intention to leave her. With courage ignited by desperation, Camille embarks on a daring journey to find him, discarding her feminine guise and adopting the attire of a man. As she traverses the treacherous landscapes near the Western Front, she encounters a roving band of French soldiers.
