Koma (2004)

In a dizzying dance of jealousy, passion, faith, and vengeance, an intricate love triangle unfurls amidst the backdrop of a peculiar kidney theft investigation. At a lavish wedding celebration in a grand hotel, an unsuspecting guest, Chi Ching, stumbles upon the victim. Ching, startled by her discovery, recalls a mysterious woman at the wedding, a woman who becomes the center of a spiraling police investigation. The enigmatic woman, Suen Ling, is revealed to have shared an intimate past with Ching's beloved fiancé, Wei. Despite Wei's fervent declarations of love for only Ching, the persistent presence of Ling weaves a web of suspicion and confusion. Ching, seeking reassurance from Wei's words, attempts to form an unlikely friendship with Ling. However, as Ling's past slowly surfaces, Ching's health mysteriously declines, and Wei's true intentions remain shrouded in ambiguity, the love triangle whirls with increasing fervor. Ching's fears extend beyond the metaphorical backstabbing of love's betrayal, reaching towards the very real terror of a 9-inch incision on her side. As the lines between love, trust and betrayal blur, every character must confront their darkest fears and deepest desires.
