Plot

In the whirlwind world of love and ventriloquism, Jerry Morgan finds himself repeatedly forsaken. His romantic endeavors consistently crumble at the brink of matrimony, thanks to the inexplicable spitefulness of his puppet, Clarence. The latest casualty of this bizarre circumstance is his beloved Audrey, who, unable to withstand Clarence's jealousy, abandons Jerry. In a fit of rage, Jerry destroys Clarence and his fellow puppet, Terrence. Unbeknownst to Jerry, his doll maker, Papinek, is entangled in a web of espionage. Having pilfered classified blueprints of the highly confidential Lafayette airplane, Papinek schemes to transport the stolen secrets overseas. Spotting an opportunity in Jerry's imminent departure for Zurich, Papinek cunningly conceals the covert plans within the decapitated heads of the demolished dolls. However, the intrigue doesn't stop there. Another clandestine cabal, hungry for the secrets concealed in Jerry's luggage, trails him relentlessly. This unwitting ventriloquist soon finds himself ensnared in a deadly game of cat and mouse, pursued by rival spy rings and the ever-watchful eye of the law, who suspect him of a sinister crime. Jerry's once simple life is swiftly replaced with a thrilling escapade that weaves through the world of espionage, love, and ventriloquism in the spellbinding tale of "Knock On Wood".
