Caught in the throes of a botched jewellery heist, small-time crook Nick Bianco finds himself ensnared in the unforgiving grip of the law. Despite the earnest urgings of the well-meaning district attorney D'Angelo to betray his cohorts, Bianco's code of honor remains unbroken. He shoulders the burden of his crime alone, stepping into the grim shadow of prison with the assurance that his beloved family will be cared for.
