In the hushed halls of their university, Natalie Ross mysteriously vanishes, leaving behind her best friend and roommate, Amanda Rowe. Suspicion falls upon Natalie's ex-lover, Cameron McClure, but with no evidence to hold against him, he remains untouchable. With financial pressures looming, Amanda's other roommate, Zoe, makes the decision to lease Natalie's room, welcoming the enigmatic student, Hayley Jones, into their home. Hayley swiftly forms a close bond with Amanda, stepping in as her protector when Cameron's frustrations boil over into threats.
