Plot

In the heart of Louisville, KY, a seemingly ordinary man named David Dailey is leading an ostensibly impeccable life. He's got it all: a flourishing career, a loving community, and a stable marriage. However, beneath the veneer of this perfect life, David's world is slowly but surely falling apart. Haunted by cryptic notes forecasting his downfall, he finds himself in the throes of an impending fall from grace. His vivacious wife Susan is determined to push the boundaries of their intimate life, with or without his participation. Meanwhile, his loyal assistant Whit is scheming to take over his position. Amid this chaos, David is irresistibly drawn to Melody Carpenter, a mysterious stranger whom he feels inclined to trust due to her lack of familiarity with his life and, thus, her inability to betray him. Adding fuel to the fire, Melody's scorned ex-lover Sean, a charismatic and wealthy playboy, views David and Melody's budding friendship with deep resentment. Fueled by jealousy, Sean lays the groundwork for an insidious plan to reclaim Melody, oblivious to the fact that his overprotective father has orchestrated surveillance over all parties involved. As David and Melody's bond intensifies, they find an uncanny similarity in their circumstances, including the unnerving suspicion of being stalked. This shared fear thrusts them into a chilling labyrinth of desire, deception, and dread. Suddenly, the man who was once the darling of everyone around him begins to suspect that they all have a motive to tarnish his reputation. As his idyllic life spirals out of control, David realizes the perilous truth: the greatest risk of living a perfect life is having everything at stake.
