In the quiet, sun-baked town of Arborville, California, a mysterious stranger named Joe Dakota appears, his arrival stirring the still air like a desert wind. His mission? To find an old friend he endearingly refers to as The Old Indian. The townsfolk, tight-lipped and evasive, insist that the old man packed his bags and vanished, but Joe isn't convinced. As he ventures towards his friend's property, a sight catches his eye: a new oil rig, its metal skeleton standing tall on the Old Indian's once peaceful land.
