Plot

In the waning glow of the 80s and the dawn of the 90s, North America was gripped by an obsession: the collection of baseball cards. These pieces of cardboard, enshrined in plastic sleeves as if they were precious metals, became the equivalent of a high-stakes treasure hunt. Families invested millions, hoping their collection would only grow in value as years passed by. Among those families were Stu Stone and his father Jack, tied together in this intricate game of hopes and dreams. Yet, as the industry imploded, not only did the worth of these cards crumble into nothingness, but so did Stu's relationship with his father, who was deep in the card trade. Fast forward 25 years, and Stu embarks on a quest, driven not by the lost monetary value but by the priceless memories encapsulated in these cards. His journey is not just to unearth why these relics of his childhood have lost their worth, but also to rediscover his estranged father, Jack. What he never anticipated, however, was that the most elusive card he would stumble upon in this chase would be the one bearing the image of his father, the true 'Jack of all Trades'.
