It's Not Me, I Swear! (2008)

In the tumultuous summer of '68, we meet Léon, a ten-year-old boy with a vivid imagination that rivals his complex problems. Léon's world is teetering on the edge of chaos with his perpetually quarrelling parents and irritating neighbors who flaunt their beach holidays. Adding to his trials is Léa, an insufferable know-it-all, who never misses a chance to outsmart him. When his mother decides to turn her back on their life and chase a fresh start in Greece, Léon is flung headfirst into a whirlwind of emotions. Desperate to dull his torment, he contemplates everything from demolishing his neighbors' house to spinning a web of professional lies. Amid the pandemonium, he considers an unthinkable option - surrendering to the unlikely charm of Léa. As they navigate the treacherous waters of abandonment and the bittersweet challenges of growing up, Léa and Léon discover a bond that helps them endure.
