Inside (2007)

On a day marred by relentless rain, Sarah, an expectant photographer, endures a catastrophic car crash, finding herself and her unborn child as the sole survivors. Her partner, Matthieu Scarangelo, tragically perishes in the collision and as the months pass, Sarah's life becomes a melancholy echo of loneliness and loss. Fast forward to Christmas Eve, four months post-accident. Sarah, still ensnared in the grip of grief for Matthieu, resolves to spend the night alone in the gloomy confines of her home. The morning promises a glimmer of joy amidst her despair - the delivery of her baby, a tender symbol of her love for Matthieu. As darkness descends, an unexpected knock punctures the stillness of her isolated sanctuary. A stranger, shrouded in black, stands at her door, pleading to use the phone. Sarah, cautious and fearful, refuses and swiftly alerts the police. The woman disappears into the night, seemingly deterring her intentions. The police conduct a thorough inspection of Sarah's home, assuring her of the woman's departure and promising vigilant surveillance throughout the night. Sarah's respite is short-lived. The stranger returns with a terrifying resolve, her intentions now horrifyingly clear - she wants Sarah's unborn child. With a pair of scissors as her chilling weapon, the woman launches a night of torment on Sarah, turning her home into a house of horrors. Sarah, desperate and determined, barricades herself in the bathroom, bracing herself against the relentless onslaught. As the night unfurls into a blood-curdling tableau of terror, the woman, relentless and ruthless, eliminates anyone who dares to intervene. Amidst this chaos, she finally reveals her identity to Sarah, and the sinister motive behind her relentless pursuit. The once serene Christmas Eve transforms into a horrifying struggle for survival, as Sarah fights to protect her unborn child from the clutches of a relentless stranger.
