In Gold We Trust (2010)

In the untamed wilds of French Guiana, a daring band of explorers embarks on a perilous mission to plunder a gold mine. Their venture, however, veers off course, forcing their escape helicopter into a catastrophic landing amidst the dense jungle. Fortune favors them initially as they seize six hundred kilos of gold, only to discover that their newfound wealth has transformed into an oppressive burden. The group - comprised of four men and two women - embarks on a grueling trek through the savage greenery. As they plunge deeper into the jungle, they find themselves besieged by an onslaught of hostile elements. The sweltering heat, relentless insects, and the weight of fatigue make their journey an uphill battle. Meanwhile, the ominous specter of pursuit looms behind them, further tightening the noose around their expedition. The jungle appears to be tightening its grip on them, slowly extinguishing their hopes of escape. Amidst this chaos, the group's unity begins to crumble, eroded by the insidious lure of their golden prize. This tale of survival, greed, and desperation delves into the raw human instinct, revealing how the gleam of gold can ignite the fever of avarice even amidst life-threatening circumstances.
