The aptly named gold magnate Auric Goldfinger has an ambitious plan — to rob the United States Treasury at Fort Knox. But his plans are about more than just making himself rich. The potential for global collapse leads Britain's MI-6 to put super-spy James Bond on the case. Along with his special edition Aston Martin sports car and his array of gadgets, Bond will have to tangle with a variety of colorful villains at exotic locations throughout the world and untangle the ambitious plans of Goldfinger before he can put his diabolical scheme into effect.
