Plot

In the whirlwind of adventure that is Worldwind Tour #225, womanizing British guide Charlie Cartwright (Ian McShane) leads an eclectic group of American tourists on an eighteen-day journey across nine European countries, from London to Rome. This tour is more than just sightseeing for Charlie; it's a chance to reconnect with his numerous casual girlfriends scattered across the continent. Among the motley crew of first-time American travelers are a pair of protective parents seeking to distance their hormone-charged teenage daughter from her boyfriend, a man desperate to prove his machismo to his friends by wooing women in each country, and a non-Italian speaking Italian on a quest to meet his long-lost relatives. There's also a World War II veteran yearning to relive his golden years, and a souvenir scavenger whose only interest lies in free memorabilia. The one who captures Charlie's roguish interest, however, is the beautiful and straight-laced Samantha Perkins (Suzanne Pleshette). Samantha is at a crossroads, seeking to explore the world before deciding on a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, George (Frank Latimore). As the tour plunges into one misadventure after another – including a case of mistaken bus identity, an unexpected family reunion for the Italian-American traveler in Venice, and the teen daughter's secret escapade with a young American protester – Charlie commits himself to charming Samantha. Despite her naive exterior, Samantha appears to see through Charlie's schemes, leaving her to decide how, if at all, these two men fit into her future. While the lively Jenny Grant (Mildred Natwick) infuses the trip with her tireless energy, the married couple, Harve (Norman Fell) and Irma Blakely (Riva Rose), find themselves separated in the chaos. Amidst this flurry of cross-country escapades, Charlie must confront his own future – will he finally mature or forever remain the carefree playboy? From the canals of Venice to the bustling streets of Rome, If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium is a rollercoaster ride of love, laughter, and life lessons, promising an unforgettable cinematic journey.
