I Do, or Die: A Killer Arrangement (2020)

On the brink of adulthood, high school senior Sonya (Ana Golja) yearns for freedom and the promise of college, away from the binding traditions of her Romani lineage. Her parents, George (Raoul Bhaneja) and Morgan (Rachel Wilson), however, dread her divergence from their ancestral path. In a desperate attempt to tether her to their culture, they conspire with their community leader, Ian (Noam Jenkins), to arrange a marriage with his son, Alex (Ehren Kassum). Sonya's 18th birthday celebration becomes the stage for the revelation of the arranged marriage. However, the scenario takes a sharp turn when Sonya introduces her non-Romani boyfriend, Ray (Eric Osborne), and vehemently rejects the idea of marrying Alex. In a frantic bid to save face, George and Morgan resort to confining Sonya in their basement, a decision that only fuels her rebellion. Sonya's breakout from her confinement initiates an unexpected series of events, starting with her abduction by Ian, who demands her consent to the marriage. Cornered, Sonya feigns agreement, hoping this would provide a window of escape. Meanwhile, Ray discovers Sonya's precarious situation and embarks on a desperate journey to rescue her from a life she never chose.
