Plot
In the grand tapestry of life, threads of ambition, desire, and social standing intertwine to craft the story of Human Capital (2014). Enter Dino Ossola, a humble real estate broker chasing the elusive dream of success. His life is intertwined with that of his daughter, Serena, a teenage girl ensnared in a tangled relationship with a pampered upper-class youth.
Their paths cross with Carla Bruneschi, a once-renowned actress who surrendered the limelight to embrace a life of luxury, wed to the influential businessman, Massimiliano Giovanni Bernaschi. Their son, also named Massimiliano, is a troubled soul, lost in the shadow of his parents' power and prestige.
Roberta Ossola, a psychologist and Dino's second wife, navigates the complexities of these relationships while Donato Russomano, a gifted drama teacher, battles unrequited feelings for Carla. Meanwhile, Luca Ambrosini, a misunderstood teenager, and an anonymous cyclist add their own unique threads to this rich tapestry.
All these characters, varied as they are, share a common bond - they are all stakeholders in the grand venture of human capital. But does this bond truly unite them all? This intriguing tale weaves a narrative that explores this question, pulling the viewer into a world where social dynamics and personal desires collide.
