Plot

In the whirlwind of familial upheaval, the Forrester clan - composed of the patriarch Mitch, matriarch Helen, their introspective pre-teen son Billy, and the blissfully innocent preschooler Woody - find themselves transplanted into the heart of a new town. As Mitch embarks on a fresh career journey, both he and Billy are consumed by the challenge of adapting to their unfamiliar surroundings. While Woody remains unperturbed, relishing in the simplicity of his young life, Billy discovers that the path to acceptance in his new fifth-grade class is fraught with trials. Billy's initiation into his new school spirals into chaos when he crosses paths with the notorious class bullies, spearheaded by the menacing Joe Guire. A confrontation ensues, entangling Billy in a web of worms and wild proclamations, earning him the derisive moniker, "Wormboy". The situation escalates into a dare: Joe challenges Billy to stomach ten worms by the upcoming Saturday, 7 pm deadline, without surrendering to his well-known weak stomach. Undeterred, Billy accepts the grotesque challenge, armed with the support of just one classmate – the fiercely independent Erika Tansy. The rest of the boys, tethered to Joe by a cocktail of fear and legend - the latter revolving around Joe's poison-infused ring that promises a slow, agonizing death - spectate from the sidelines. As the clock ticks down to the gut-wrenching showdown, Billy and his fellow classmates embark on a series of misadventures, each more bizarre than the last. They scour the town for the most revolting cooking methods, turning the consumption of worms into a gastronomic nightmare. Yet, as the sun sets on their day of escapades, they come to a profound realization. Together, they discover that unity is their most potent weapon against fear, a lesson that could turn the tides of power within their classroom forever.
