Haunted by a horrific past, Allan finds himself trapped in a world of guilt and darkness. After an ill-fated incident involving paint cans left carelessly beside a heater results in a devastating fire, his world crumbles. This tragic event claims his father's life, disfigures his sister Katherine, and shrouds Allan's own world in physical and psychological darkness, as he succumbs to hysterical blindness.
